Tower Grove Park is one of St. Louis’ hallmark cultural institutions. For over 150 years the Park and its historic and architecturally significant structures have been a centerpiece for outdoor recreation and community building for the City’s most thriving urban neighborhoods as well as the entire St. Louis community. The Park’s collection of Victorian-era pavilions has been in constant public use since they were built under Henry Shaw’s supervision between 1867 and 1872. Today the pavilions and other historic structures serve a unique and special role in providing free and low-cost, highly accessible programs and services that benefit our community’s families.
Tower Grove Park has been designed and maintained for everyone in the community. With over 1,000,000 visitors annually it is known for its diversity as cultures from every socio-economic background are at home in Tower Grove Park.
