Laura brings more than 20 years of not-for-profit leadership and fundraising to her role as Senior Consultant with Holmes, Radford & Avalon. She specializes in writing cases for support and gift acceptance policies, developing fundraising campaign materials, training, and coaching.
Laura has led numerous, successful campaigns in the areas of economic education, youth services, and healthcare. She is skilled in cultivating donor and volunteer relationships, strategic planning, event planning, and media relations. She has substantial experience in developing giving societies and implementing major gift programs. Laura is responsible for integrated marketing and communications efforts for an affiliate of a nationally-recognized organization serving children with disabilities.
A graduate of the University of Illinois at Springfield, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Cum Laude, with a mass media emphasis. Laura was honored with the Commander’s Award for Public Service by the Department of the Army and received national recognition as a Woman of Achievement. She is a member of the Rotary Club of Peoria-North and a Rotary International Paul Harris Fellow. She is a member of the media production team at Bridgeway Community Church.
Laura lives in central Illinois with her son and daughter, and enjoys long-distance running, hiking, and camping.
